I have an amazing husband and 5 awesome children. We love to do anything outdoorsy and are constantly going camping or hiking. We have 2 best pain in the butt dogs ever. Dallas the weim and Georgia the English Bulldog. Cammi is our mouse catching cat and Stosh is the best babysitting horse ever!!!
Few weeks into her new school Brit decided to join Chorus. Brit even sang a solo with 3 other children in the last song. We are so proud of her. She was nervous and all with her flushed cheeks, and fidgeting hands but she was great!!! Our beautiful, baby girl is growing up so fast..
What a day!!! Loads of fun with some good people. The kiddos and i went and hung out at the Stockade show grounds with some of our barn friends to watch them show. It was a Combined Training schooling show. Dressage is not something i am very familiar with so it was neat to go and watch the different tests being done, especially when you get into some of the higher level tests. Our friend Suz had her Latte baby out there and let me tell you folks something, this little man is a dream, he is just a baby and he could have cared less about everything that was going on. Loveya Latte YOU ROCK!!!!! Latte and Suz did very well in both of their tests, they got 2 3rds, and our friend Rachel, who is also Sue’s trainer rode Latte in a cantering test and got a 2nd. Now with Dressage, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it, they score your test and the one with the highest score is the winner and so forth. Another one of our barn mates, Pam, rode her horse Max and they did some Dressage tests and a jumped some cross rails. She got a 1st and a 4th. Max is what i need for Rob, anyone can get on him, he truly is a babysitter. Thanks for all the pony rides for the girls Max!!! We definitely had our own little cheering squad for the 3 of them. The pictures on here of horses jumping are people i do not know, but Brit was camera happy and was just taking pictures. Though i did have a lady come up to me and give me her email and said if any of the jumping pics of her daughter came out good she would love to have them. hahahaha A lot of them turned out quite well so im not complaining. Sue and Rachel are on the Appy and Pam is on the Buckskin. The gentleman riding in some Dressage tests is a trainer Rachel works for, Jeff Lindburg. Amazing rider with some amazing horses. It was really a treat to watch him ride.
Sue, Rachel and Pam. Ya’ll had a kick butt day and we had a blast being at the show with ya’ll and can’t wait to do it again next year!!!!

Today was a good day. Early last year i was very interested in New York’s waterfalls. I made a list of all the local ones in the area and when Rob was on his crappy shifts the girls and i would go out exploring them for something to do. This place is about an hour from home but the pics online showed an absolute amazing waterfall that was fairly easy to get to. So spring time last year the girls and i headed out to go see the 75ft waterfall and we were definitely not disappointed.
Well today when we got up and going i thought it would be a great day to take Rob to go see the beautiful waterfall and go hiking along the trails with the dogs. It was a gorgeous day and come Saturday night/early Sunday is when the dang Hurricane is suppose to hit, so what better time to get out than this.
I dont think Rob was disappointed at all. It was a beautiful site with very nice trails to go along and a Lake that you can fish at. Overall another one for the books!!!
Ballston Spa is a neat little town. Since it is a rather quaint little town they are usually doing something to always get all the folks together to have a good time, most of the time for free.. Hey with 5 kids cheap is a good thing.. hahaha They had magic shows, bouncy houses, snakes and creatures of the sorts, face painting, race cars you could sit in and all kids of neat exibits you could go see. We met up with friends for a bit and all hung out. The kiddos thought the snakes were awesome, well almost all the kids.. Bridget and Brinley were not thrilled to see the slithering and slimy creatures. Mason and Brittney were all into and Braiden came around a little later. Thats def one the kiddos can put into the books of thing most people have not or will not do….
Strawberry picking is so much fun!!! Bowman’s Orchard is where we went and we got to ride on a tractor to take us to the fields. Each kiddo had their own little bucket they could put their own strawberries in. They were tickled to be able to do this. It was something none of us had ever done before. A must do for next year.
